Job Description

As a Cargo and Freight Agent, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations department. You'll be responsible for coordinating the shipment of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, making it essential for our logistics team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating logistics for freight movements.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state shipping regulations.
• Update inventory management systems with shipping data.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve shipping discrepancies.
• Analyze shipping costs and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct routine audits of shipping documents and inventory records.
• Support the operations team in optimizing supply chain processes.
• Help develop standard operating procedures for operational efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the operations area.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in logistics or a related field

Technical Skills

• Freight Calculation

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Conversational
