Job Description
The Asbestos Abatement Technician will be responsible for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from various environments. This role requires strict adherence to all safety procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and assessments for asbestos presence.
Develop and implement abatement strategies tailored to specific projects.
Safely operate abatement equipment, including HEPA vacuums and sprayers.
Ensure the safety of all personnel involved in abatement processes.
Properly handle, package, and dispose of hazardous materials.
Prepare reports for regulatory compliance and internal documentation.
Assist in training new technicians on proper abatement procedures.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional training in environmental science or safety preferred
Experience
Experience in hazardous material handling is a plus
