Job Description

As a Telecommunications Equipment Installer and Repairer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and communication systems. Your role is vital in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fiber optic cable installations at client sites.
• Test and troubleshoot communication systems.
• Assist in training junior staff on splicing and equipment handling.
• Work closely with project managers to meet deadlines.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to workplace safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in Telecommunications or related field
• Certifications in advanced fiber optic techniques preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing

Technical Skills

• Fusion Splicing Equipment Operation
• Knowledge of OTDRs

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
