We are seeking a skilled Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Boston. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating risk, formulating policies, and providing expert advice to our clients. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in the decision-making process regarding coverage and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite applications by assessing risk and determining appropriate premiums.
• Prepare and present underwriting reports to management.
• Work with claims adjusters to ensure seamless processing of claims.
• Conduct audits on existing policies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Participate in client meetings to explain underwriting decisions.
• Stay informed on industry changes and regulations impacting underwriting practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related discipline

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI)

• English: Fluent
