Job Description

The Special Effects Designer at XYZ Productions will be responsible for creating breathtaking visual effects that enhance storytelling in our film and television projects. This role requires a blend of creativity and technical skill to bring imaginative concepts to life. You will collaborate with directors, cinematographers, and a talented team of artists to ensure our productions meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating visual effects during pre-production stages.
• Foster open communication within the team and with external collaborators.
• Develop and maintain effect templates for future projects.
• Document and archive project processes and outcomes for future reference.
• Mentor junior team members in best practices for special effects design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Animation or Visual Effects
• Preferred: Master's degree in a related field

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in special effects design

Technical Skills

• ZBrush
• Color Grading
• Motion Graphics

Certifications

• Visual Effects Society Membership
• Advanced After Effects Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Houdini: Experience in creating advanced simulations and effects using Houdini.
