Job Description

As a Railroad Conductor, you'll oversee the comprehensive operations within our rail yard, ensuring the timely and safe movement of cargo. You'll coordinate with various teams to manage train schedules, cargo transfers, and maintain safety protocols. This role is crucial for optimizing our operations and ensuring every train runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the overall movement of trains in and out of the yard.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Supervise the loading and unloading processes to prevent accidents.
  • Ensure effective communication between all team members during operations.
  • Participate in safety audits and operational assessments.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Craft and present reports on operational performance to management.
  • Be available for on-call responses to emergencies or unexpected occurrences.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid driver's license
Experience
  • Experience operating heavy machinery or vehicles is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Radio communication devices

Certifications
