Electrical and Electronics Drafter

Job Description

As a Botanist at Green Earth Research Institute, you will be responsible for studying various plant species, conducting experiments, and collaborating with a team of scientists. Your insights will drive conservation strategies and contribute to the understanding of plant biodiversity.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical schematics and circuit layouts.
• Coordinate with design teams to translate specifications into designs.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for component sourcing.
• Perform quality assurance checks on design outputs.
• Prepare reports and presentation materials for project reviews.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure optimal functionality.
• Stay updated with new CAD tools and techniques.
• Support senior designers with project planning.
• Help train junior staff on drafting best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in circuit board design or related role.

Technical Skills

• PCB Layout Software
• DFM Principles

• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• IPC Designer Certification
• Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Compliance Standards: Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC and IEEE.
• Experience with SMT and Through-hole Components: Hands-on experience with surface mount technology and through-hole designs.
