Organist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Organist to perform at religious services, weddings, and special events. You will collaborate with our music team to select pieces that resonate with our community.

Responsibilities

• Provide musical accompaniment on the organ for religious services and community gatherings.
• Work with the choir and music team to select and arrange program music.
• Conduct regular maintenance of the pipes and instrument for proper sound quality.
• Offer guidance and assistance to choir members in music performance.
• Manage sound equipment for live events and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Assist in planning music for special occasions and ensure all details are covered.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss upcoming events and performances.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music or related field
• Professional certification in organ performance preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in organ performance in religious settings

Technical Skills

• Proficient in playing the pipe organ
• Sight-reading and improvisation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Collaboration

Advantageous

• Experience with other keyboard instruments: Ability to play piano or harpsichord is a plus.
• Conducting experience: Experience in conducting choirs or musical ensembles.
