We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Phoenix office. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications, assess risks, and determine coverage amounts for various clients. Your expertise will help ensure the best possible outcomes for both the company and our clients, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret insurance applications to determine risk.
• Work closely with claims adjusters to ensure proper risk management.
• Review statistics and data to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Monitor fluctuations in the insurance market to adjust underwriting strategies.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance underwriting skills.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and agents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field
• Professional certifications in underwriting are a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in underwriting or risk assessment

Technical Skills

• Statistical Analysis
• Insurance Software Proficiency

• Negotiation Skills
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Insurance Services Office (ISO) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
