Clinical and Counseling Psychologist

Job Description

As a Clinical and Counseling Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing individual and group therapy for survivors of sexual violence. This position requires a strong foundation in trauma-informed practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to advocacy and social justice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery from trauma.
• Lead and facilitate educational workshops for community awareness on mental health care.
• Coordinate services with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in advocacy work to promote social justice in mental health access for marginalized communities.
• Participate in data collection and analysis to inform program development and improvements.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services to clients in acute distress.
• Supervise interns or trainees as applicable, fostering a learning environment.
• Engage in self-care practices to maintain personal well-being and professional effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
• PhD in Clinical Psychology is preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in clinical counseling, focusing on trauma recovery.
