Responsibilities

  • Review and process medical insurance claims and ensure correct reimbursement.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve issues.
  • Maintain and update patient accounts with accurate billing information.
  • Provide support for audits and compliance reviews as necessary.
  • Assist patients with inquiries related to their insurance claims and payments.
  • Utilize medical billing software to manage claims and record data.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss challenges and improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Technology preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing and claims processing and familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid billing.
