Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Animal Trainer to help us care for lions at our wildlife sanctuary. This role involves creating and implementing effective training programs, monitoring animal health, and interacting with visitors to foster awareness about wildlife care and conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enrichment activities to stimulate the mental and physical health of lions.
  • Engage in community outreach programs focused on wildlife education.
  • Keep accurate records of training progress and animal health.
  • Participate in safety drills and uphold sanctuary standards.
  • Collaborate on projects to improve lion habitats within the sanctuary.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Animal Behavior or Wildlife Management
  • Previous industry certifications preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with large carnivores
