Responsibilities
Conduct live weather presentations during broadcasts, ensuring clarity and audience engagement.
Utilize computer models and statistical analysis to generate accurate forecasts.
Develop and edit written weather content for online platforms and social media.
Collaborate with team members for planning and coverage of upcoming weather events.
Engage with viewers through social media platforms, providing timely updates.
Participate in training sessions to improve forecasting skills and techniques.
Assist in the development of promotional content for weather-related segments.
Maintain records and logs of broadcast activities for review and compliance.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
Professional certification in broadcast meteorology (e.g., AMS Seal) is highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in meteorology, preferably in a broadcasting environment.
