Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wholesale and Retail Buyer to join our procurement team. This professional will be responsible for acquiring goods and services, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure we meet business goals effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for sourcing and procurement of goods and services.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate pricing to ensure quality and availability.
• Conduct periodic audits of supplier performance and compliance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved purchasing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier communications.
• Assist in the development of long-term procurement plans aligned with company objectives.
• Ensure sustainability practices are included in sourcing decisions.
• Train and mentor junior procurement staff as necessary.
• Participate in trade shows and networking events to enhance supplier relations.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in retail

Certifications

• Experience with Product Packaging Standards: Knowledge of packaging and labeling requirements for various products.
