Cutting, Punching, and Press Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders, Metal and Plastic

Job Description

We are in search of a motivated Cutting, Punching, and Press Machine Setter who will set up and operate sawing machines to cut a variety of metal and plastic materials. In this role, you will carry out routine maintenance and ensure that all machines are functioning properly to meet production demands. This position is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and specifications for machine setup.
• Install and adjust cutting blades and other machine elements based on specifications.
• Operate machines efficiently to produce high-quality cuts.
• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on sawing machines regularly.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Track inventory levels of necessary tools and materials.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to enhance process efficiencies.
• Adhere to established safety guidelines and work procedures.
• Keep accurate logs of production activities.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role

• Machine operation
