Photonics Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Photonics Technicians to assemble optical fibers and components into high-performance cables and devices that are critical in the telecommunications industry. Your contributions will directly impact our success.

Responsibilities

• Utilize fiber optic testing equipment to ensure performance standards are met.
• Engage in troubleshooting fiber optic systems to rectify assembly errors.
• Create and update technical documentation related to assembly and testing procedures.
• Work closely with other team members to optimize the assembly workflow.
• Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in Fiber Optics is preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in fiber optic assembly or telecommunications

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Fiber Optic Components
• Basic Computer Skills

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
