Power Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Power Technician to join our team. This position involves maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing power equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with various power-related tools and technologies. As a crucial member of our team, you will ensure that our power systems are functioning optimally and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of power distribution systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Participate in troubleshooting and emergency response for power system failures.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all systems and processes.
• Assist with the training of new employees on safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with engineers to design upgrades and modifications for existing systems.
• Engage with vendors for equipment procurement and service contracts.
• Analyze failure data to improve system reliability and performance.
• Implement best practices and leading-edge technologies in power management.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in Electrical Technology is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in power systems maintenance

Technical Skills

• Multimeters and Oscilloscopes
• SCADA Systems

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• NFPA 70E Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Power Quality Analysis: Knowledge of power quality analysis techniques and equipment.
• Experience with Power Factor Correction: Hands-on experience in power factor correction practices.
