Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at Your Insurance Company, you will assess risks and determine policy terms for clients. You will collaborate with agents and clients to ensure all parties understand the details of coverage and work to create tailored solutions that meet customer needs. Responsibilities

• Assess and identify risks associated with insurance policies.
• Establish pricing based on analysis of risk factors.
• Review applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with claims adjusters to gain insight into risk assessment.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance underwriting skills.
• Review market trends to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current insurance products.
• Document underwriting decisions in accordance with company policies.
• Support other underwriting staff as needed.
• Assist in developing new insurance programs and products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or risk analysis

Technical Skills

• Insurance Software Proficiency
• Statistical Analysis

• Negotiation Skills
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
