Job Description

We are looking for a friendly Museum Hostess to join our Visitor Services team. You will be responsible for enhancing visitor experiences, providing information, and ensuring museum policies are upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors to the museum.
  • Provide detailed information about exhibits, galleries, and facilities.
  • Answer visitor inquiries in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
  • Monitor and maintain exhibit areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Assist with crowd management during peak times or special events.
  • Ensure visitor adherence to museum policies and guidelines.
  • Handle visitor complaints or concerns professionally.
  • Promote museum membership and related offerings.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Support museum staff with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Museum management software (e.g., Altru)
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems

Advantageous
