Job Description

We are looking for a Communications Equipment Operator to process and edit images for news wire services. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in photojournalism and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Edit photos using software tools like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Support the newsroom's multimedia efforts by assisting in video production.
• Handle press equipment during events and live broadcasts.
• Provide visual content that engages the audience across various platforms.
• Collaborate in brainstorming sessions for innovative storytelling.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines, particularly during breaking news situations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Photography, Journalism, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in news photography and editing

Technical Skills

• Photojournalism Ethics

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Social Media Platforms: Familiarity with content distribution on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
