Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Safety Telecommunicator to manage emergency and non-emergency calls. Your role will involve quick decision-making and efficient communication with emergency services to ensure timely responses to incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-stress emergency calls with professionalism.
  • Relay crucial information accurately to first responders.
  • Keep emergency response logs and records.
  • Identify and prioritize high-risk situations.
  • Follow established protocols for emergency responses.
  • Engage in continuous communication with field units.
  • Provide after-action reports and suggestions for improvements.
  • Collaborate with other telecommunication staff to enhance operations.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years in emergency dispatch or related field
