Job Description

As a Mortuary Beautician, you will play a critical role in preparing the deceased for viewings and funerals. Your responsibilities include applying makeup, dressing, and styling hair to present a respectful and dignified appearance. This role demands high attention to detail and compassion for grieving families.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare deceased bodies for viewings, ensuring they are presentable for families and friends.
  • Apply hair styling to make the deceased appear as natural as possible.
  • Handle all tasks with compassion and sensitivity toward grieving families.
  • Support funeral services by coordinating closely with funeral directors and embalmers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with dressing the deceased in clothing provided by the family.
  • Help maintain inventory of embalming and cosmetic supplies.
  • Contribute to a supportive environment for families during their time of loss.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Completion of an accredited Cosmetology program
Experience
  • Experience working with deceased bodies in a respectful and compassionate manner preferred.
