Job Description

As a Tax Accountant at our reputable Boston firm, your primary duties will include conducting tax research, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advising clients on tax-related matters. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review tax filings to ensure compliance with IRS guidelines.
  • Conduct research to stay informed about new tax laws affecting clients.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to create integrated tax plans.
  • Perform quality checks on tax returns and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of the tax preparation process.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss tax-related questions and concerns.
  • Assist in developing training materials for staff regarding tax issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, EA) are preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on tax experience in public accounting
