Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data for tumor patients including their treatment progress.
  • Ensure accuracy in coding and tumor classification.
  • Maintain databases and electronic health records with up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to verify data integrity.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports to state and federal agencies.
  • Assess data quality and accuracy on a regular basis.
  • Stay current with updates to tumor registry processes.
  • Protect patient confidentiality according to healthcare regulations.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects related to tumor management.
  • Participate in workshops and continued education on cancer care.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Health Information Management or Nursing
  • Certification as a Tumor Registrar (CTR) is essential
Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in tumor registry or healthcare
