Job Description

The Motor Room Controller will play a crucial role in the efficient operation and maintenance of motor room equipment. The successful candidate will manage systems, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety protocols while supporting a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control motor room systems to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues with equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers to implement system improvements.
  • Update maintenance logs and ensure complete records are kept.
  • Respond to emergency situations swiftly while following safety protocols.
  • Assist with the installation of new systems and equipment.
  • Train team members in safety and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend upgrades for efficiencies.
  • Attend training sessions to stay current on industry regulations.
  • Contribute to team meetings, providing insights on operational improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a technical training program in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in operating and maintaining equipment in a similar environment
