Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Marine Fisheries Technician to assist in our marine research initiatives. This role will involve both field and laboratory work, contributing to the analysis of fish populations and habitats for effective conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field data collection and analysis of aquatic ecosystems.
  • Participate in fisheries assessments and management plan development.
  • Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with teams for project implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of data and methodologies.
  • Assist in training new team members on protocols.
  • Contribute to outreach and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with research teams for data synthesis.
  • Help develop and maintain GIS databases for spatial analysis.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Master's degree in marine science or related area preferred

  • 4+ years of field experience in marine studies
