Job Description

The Prepress Technician is responsible for preparing and verifying the integrity of digital files destined for print. This specialized role requires a solid grasp of color management, detailed artwork adjustments, and proficient use of prepress software. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare artwork files for print production.
• Create and adjust color profiles for various substrates.
• Ensure files are print-ready before passing to production.
• Communicate with the sales team to resolve any issues with artwork files.
• Train junior staff on prepress procedures and software.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest prepress technology and trends.
• Maintain an organized workspace to enhance productivity.
• Develop and refine pre-flight checklists for better consistency.
• Assist in optimizing workflow processes to increase efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in prepress is preferred
