Job Description

As a Credit Counselor at XYZ Financial Services, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their financial challenges. You will conduct financial assessments, develop tailored debt management plans, and provide education on budgeting and savings to empower our clients to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' financial situations through interviews and documentation review.
• Create tailored financial plans that align with clients' objectives and capabilities.
• Educate clients on best practices for managing debt and improving credit scores.
• Coordinate with creditors to negotiate favorable terms for clients.
• Document client interactions and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Monitor and follow up on client progress regarding their financial goals.
• Foster relationships with clients to build trust and encourage open communication.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Certification from a recognized credit counseling organization.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer credit counseling.
