Batch Still Operator

Job Description

The Batch Still Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining batch still equipment to produce various chemical products. This meticulous individual must possess excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of batch still operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform batch processing operations according to established protocols.
• Review batch records for accuracy and completeness.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Utilize safety equipment and procedures rigorously.
• Document production metrics and compile reports.
• Enable communication between shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in developing training materials for new hires.
• Participate in product quality review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with FDA and OSHA standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or some college coursework in chemical processing or relevant field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a chemical manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Automated batch control systems
• Data analysis software

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• OSHA HAZWOPER Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a regulated industry: Experience in pharmaceutical or food production environments is a plus.
• Experience with quality assurance processes: Familiarity with QA methodologies to ensure product consistency.
