Job Description

We are seeking a Botanist who will be integral in understanding plant biology and ecosystems. This role involves hands-on research, data collection, and advising on conservation strategies, all while working closely with governmental and environmental organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field studies to assess plant diversity and ecosystem health.
  • Utilize GIS and other software for mapping and data analysis.
  • Document findings through written reports and visual presentations.
  • Participate in grant writing and project management for ecological studies.
  • Contribute knowledge to species recovery programs.
  • Engage with local communities to promote sustainability.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and interns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Botany, Ecology, or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in ecological research
