Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Underwriter to join our team. The Production Underwriter will be responsible for assessing and evaluating insurance applications, analyzing risks, and determining appropriate coverage and premiums. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities and a thorough understanding of underwriting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and process insurance applications in a timely manner.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments using industry best practices.
  • Work closely with claims and risk management teams to mitigate potential losses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with agents and brokers.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance underwriting knowledge.
  • Utilize underwriting software to track and document applications.
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in the development of underwriting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or related fields
