Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join our underwriting team in New York City. You will be responsible for assessing risks and determining appropriate coverage and premiums for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate potential risks for policyholders.
• Develop comprehensive reports on underwriting findings for management.
• Assist in training junior underwriters on best practices and industry trends.
• Participate in company meetings to discuss underwriting strategies and performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial insurance underwriting

Certifications

• ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
• CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)
