Diesel Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Electrician to maintain and repair our fleet's diesel engines and electrical systems. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while working closely with our maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Maintain effective communication with team members regarding repair status and maintenance needs.
• Explore new techniques and tools to enhance work efficiency.
• Engage in continuous training and professional development sessions.
• Assist in other maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

Education

• Technical certification or degree in diesel or electrical engineering preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Relevant electrical certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with industrial machinery maintenance and repair: Experience in maintaining heavy industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software: Familiarity with ERP systems for tracking maintenance activities is advantageous.
