Job Description

The Extension Professor will play a key role in leading university extension programs that engage with local communities. This position involves developing educational programs, delivering training, and conducting research to advance knowledge in forestry and conservation sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative extension materials and resources related to conservation practices.
  • Facilitate partnerships between the university and local environmental organizations.
  • Conduct assessments to gauge community responses to educational programs.
  • Manage and develop educational content for various platforms including online and in-person.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration within the university and beyond.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in a relevant field is required
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in academic extension work and community engagement.
