Silo Tender

Job Description

As a Silo Tender, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of materials from silos. Your role includes monitoring material levels, performing equipment inspections, and maintaining accurate records to support seamless operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload bulk materials using heavy machinery.
• Perform quality checks on materials before loading.
• Coordinate with inventory management personnel for stock levels.
• Prepare weekly reports on materials used and stock levels.
• Maintain a proactive approach to equipment handling and safety.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience with heavy equipment and agricultural operations.

Advantageous

• Forklift Certification: Certification to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Prior Experience with Silo Operations: Experience managing silo operations in an agricultural context.
