Luthier

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Luthier to join our dedicated team. As a Luthier, you will craft, repair, and maintain various stringed instruments, including guitars, violins, and cellos. Your expertise in woodworking and passion for music will be vital in delivering top-notch musical craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose issues in stringed instruments.
• Craft custom instruments based on detailed client requests.
• Use various woodworking techniques to create aesthetically pleasing instruments.
• Maintain records of all repairs and customizations performed.
• Participate in workshops or trade shows to showcase our craftsmanship.
• Foster relationships with local musicians and music schools.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the crafting and repair process.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Music, Woodworking, or related field is a plus

Experience

• Experience working with diverse wood types and finishes

Technical Skills

• CAD Software Proficiency

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving Skills

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Custom Instrument Creation: Experience in designing and crafting custom instruments per client specifications.
• Specialized Jigs Knowledge: Familiar with using specialized jigs and fixtures for instrument assembly.
