Job Description

As a Library Technician, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our library. Responsibilities include assisting patrons in locating materials, organizing resources, and supporting library programs. Responsibilities

• Help patrons find information and resources needed for research.
• Maintain orderly shelving and organization of library items.
• Assist in the management of library events including setup and cleanup.
• Utilize library management systems for day-to-day operations.
• Conduct workshops and informational sessions for patrons.
• Document and report on program participation and outcomes.
• Collaborate with local schools and organizations to enhance library outreach.
• Perform general office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails.
• Monitor library security and ensure a welcoming environment.
• Assist in the development of new services and programs.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a library setting

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Cataloging Systems

Languages

• English: Fluent
