Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Damage Appraiser to assess and estimate costs for damage to vehicles and properties. The ideal candidate will have experience with insurance regulations and a knack for clear communication to navigate negotiations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site evaluations of damaged vehicles and property.
• Generate detailed repair cost estimates based on inspections.
• Work directly with clients to explain calculations and processes.
• Document all findings and maintain up-to-date records.
• Advise clients on their rights and obligations under their policies.
• Coordinate with repair shops for accurate assessments.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure repairs are satisfactory.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance appraisal skills.
• Engage in ongoing communication with team members to improve processes.
• Ensure accuracy in all documentation related to claims.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as business or finance
• Certification or training in damage appraisal preferred.

Experience

• Proven track record in damage appraisal with at least 2-3 years of experience.

Technical Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Negotiation skills

Certifications

• Insurance Claims Adjuster License
• Xactimate Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Conversational
