Job Description

The Miter Saw Operator is pivotal to our production team, responsible for operating and maintaining miter saw equipment to ensure that materials are cut and shaped accurately. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate miter saws effectively to achieve precise cuts.
• Ensure miter saws are properly set up and calibrated.
• Follow project plans for accurate execution of cuts.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with miter saws as they arise.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Support team members in achieving production goals.
• Document and report material utilization accurately.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment performance and maintenance.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in woodworking is preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a saw operator.

Languages

• English: Fluent
