Job Description

As a Special Education Resource Teacher, you will provide individualized support to students with special needs. Collaborating with general education teachers, you will identify challenges, develop tailored lesson plans, and foster an inclusive classroom environment. Your expertise will help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Assist students in developing social skills and positive behaviors.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and suggest necessary interventions.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and track improvement.
• Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings with families and educators.
• Stay updated with educational best practices and teaching strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Master's degree in Special Education is advantageous

Experience

• Demonstrated experience in special education settings
