Job Description

As a Seating and Mobility Technologist, you will evaluate patients' needs, recommend and customize mobility devices, and provide essential training and support. You'll work closely with therapists and healthcare professionals to enhance patient comfort and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assessments to identify the best mobility solutions for patients.
  • Manage inventory of assistive devices and ensure proper fitting for each patient.
  • Create and lead workshops on mobility solutions for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers regarding reimbursement processes for assistive devices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop patient-centered care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to support patient education.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Advanced certification (e.g., ATP) preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience focusing on seating and mobility devices in a clinical setting.
