Construction Laborer

Job Description

As a Construction Laborer at Black Topper Paving Inc., you will be responsible for laying asphalt on a variety of surfaces, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites.
• Work with asphalt production equipment and tools.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during paving.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to follow project requirements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in asphalt laying and paving

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Asphalt production techniques

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• OSHA safety training certification
• State-issued certification for operating heavy machinery

Languages

• English: Fluent
