Job Description

We are on the hunt for a diligent Construction Estimator to join our expanding team. This role demands an individual who is detail-oriented with a knack for analyzing project plans and estimating accurate costs for materials and labor.

Responsibilities

• Assess project documentation to determine scope and cost implications.
• Collaborate with team members to refine project outlines and deliverables.
• Prepare financial reports that capture project costs and variances.
• Utilize construction estimation software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to clarify project needs and align objectives.
• Advise management on pricing strategies and potential cost-saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations pertaining to cost estimations.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best practices in cost efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science or related field
• Master's or additional certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience specifically in construction estimation

Technical Skills

• Autocad
• Bluebeam Revu

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Team Management

Certifications

• OSHA Construction Safety Certified
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Commercial Construction: Hands-on experience with large-scale commercial building projects.
• Familiarity with Local Building Codes: In-depth knowledge of California building regulations and laws.
