We are seeking a dedicated and experienced First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers to lead our team at Steel Dynamics Corp. This role is critical in ensuring that production processes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing operations, a strong commitment to safety standards, and excellent leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational meetings with production staff.
• Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained to operational standards.
• Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels and monitor material usage.
• Assist in scheduling production runs and resource allocation.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement among team members.
• Implement and uphold quality assurance processes.
• Document employee performance and conduct performance reviews.
• Support cross-training initiatives within the production team.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
