Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Records Specialist who will be responsible for managing patient health information and ensuring the accuracy of medical records. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care by maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper documentation practices are followed.
  • Assist in the transition to new electronic record keeping systems.
  • Conduct training for new employees on health information protocols.
  • Gather data for patient satisfaction surveys and reports.
  • Work with external auditors to review compliance standards.
  • Lead efforts to streamline document retrieval processes.
  • Develop educational materials for staff regarding health information systems.
  • Facilitate communication with insurance companies regarding patient records.
  • Support inter-departmental initiatives to improve healthcare delivery.
  • Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws affecting medical records.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical records management
