Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Slasher Tender to oversee logging operations involving the cutting of trees into smaller, transport-ready sections. This role requires both technical skills and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the slasher machinery.
• Work collaboratively with sawmill crew to coordinate efforts.
• Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency.
• Complete reports on machinery performance and safety compliance.
• Engage in continuous learning about logging machinery and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in logging equipment operation is preferred

Experience

• Prior experience operating logging equipment

• Mechanical Skills
• Basic Maintenance Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Chainsaw Safety Certification
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced knowledge of maintenance and repair: Proficient in performing maintenance and repairs on logging machinery.
• CDL license: Commercial Driver's License for transporting logs and equipment.
