Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our Kansas City office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing tax returns, and supporting clients in navigating complex tax situations. This role requires extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax research to optimize clients' tax situations.
• Draft correspondence and reports for clients regarding tax matters.
• Identify opportunities for tax credits and deductions.
• Coordinate with government agencies for tax filings and inquiries.
• Review records and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss tax implications.
• Develop relationships with clients to better understand their financial needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Master's degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a tax advisory role

• CPA
