Job Description
We're looking for an Art Objects Supervisor who will oversee the preservation and management of our artistic collections. You'll lead a team focused on best practices in art handling and collaborate with curators to enhance our exhibitions.
Responsibilities
Direct art handlers in moving pieces safely and effectively.
Ensure all artworks are stored and displayed under ideal conditions.
Work with external partners for art exhibitions and loans.
Create and manage a comprehensive catalog of art objects.
Assist curators with exhibition planning and implementation.
Facilitate the setup and takedown of exhibits.
Document all relevant details regarding artwork conditions and logistics.
Provide training sessions on art safety protocols.
Research and adopt latest practices in art conservation.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Art History, Museum Studies or a related field
Master's degree preferred
Experience
5+ years of experience in art management or a related field
