Job Description

We're looking for an Art Objects Supervisor who will oversee the preservation and management of our artistic collections. You'll lead a team focused on best practices in art handling and collaborate with curators to enhance our exhibitions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct art handlers in moving pieces safely and effectively.
  • Ensure all artworks are stored and displayed under ideal conditions.
  • Work with external partners for art exhibitions and loans.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive catalog of art objects.
  • Assist curators with exhibition planning and implementation.
  • Facilitate the setup and takedown of exhibits.
  • Document all relevant details regarding artwork conditions and logistics.
  • Provide training sessions on art safety protocols.
  • Research and adopt latest practices in art conservation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Art History, Museum Studies or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in art management or a related field
