Job Description

In the position of Pig Handler, you will oversee the well-being of our pigs. Responsibilities include ensuring they are properly cared for, monitored for health issues, and that their living spaces are clean and comfortable.

Responsibilities

  • Daily feeding and watering of all pigs.
  • Regular cleaning and sanitizing of living areas.
  • Observe pigs for any signs of sickness or behavioral issues.
  • Administer veterinary care as necessary.
  • Document growth measurements at specified intervals.
  • Assisting in breeding programs.
  • Keep records updated with health and nutrition data.
  • Adhere to animal welfare regulations.
  • Conduct minor repairs on pens and equipment.
  • Help with logistics during market transport.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience with livestock is a plus.
