Job Description

As an Elevator and Escalator Installer and Repairer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of mechanical systems in a variety of buildings. Your key role will involve installing new systems, conducting regular maintenance, and addressing any repairs required to meet safety regulations. A strong background in troubleshooting and working with electrical and mechanical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate installations.
• Simulate electrical equipment as needed to ensure all systems work optimally.
• Identify parts and tools required for installations and repairs.
• Work efficiently under the direction of the Lead Technician to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices during installations.
• Conduct inspections to assess conditions of installed systems.
• Document all work performed and submit reports to management.
• Respond promptly to service calls and perform emergency repairs as required.
• Utilize testing and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues.
• Assist in upgrading existing systems to enhance functionality.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in elevator technology is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation and repair of elevators and escalators

Certifications

• Elevator Mechanic License or equivalent
